Christchurch City Council commissioned this project to assess the change in bird strike risk if a proposed international rowing course/lake were to be built adjacent to Christchurch International Airport. Our risk assessment was instrumental in that location for the course being abandoned and consideration being given to more suitable locations. We also acted as expert witness in a court case considering development in the vicinity of the airport and its implication for strike risk. The outcome demonstrates Avisure’s international standing as wildlife management experts.
