Faces of Avisure - Charlotte Kok

Welcome Charlotte Kok

We would like to welcome Charlotte as a Scientific Project Support Officer with Avisure. She will be based in Avisure’s Adelaide Office in South Australia.

Growing up in the tropics, Charlotte was always surrounded by luxuriant rainforest of Borneo in Southeast Asia’s Malay Archipelago. Fascinated by the evergreen rainforest and the unique biodiversity at a young age, she has developed an immense interest in the environment and is determined to develop her career in this area. Charlotte is particularly interested in plants and birds, with her favourite bird being the rhinoceros hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros).

Charlotte has completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science with the University of South Australia in 2020 and is currently following up with a Bachelor of Science (Honours). Some of her academic achievements includes Bachelor of Environmental Science Academic Merit Award 2018, 2019 and 2020 and TMK Prize for Environmental Science in 2020. Her language skills include English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, and Japanese.

Charlotte specialises in ecological surveys, statistical analysis, GIS and report writing.

In her free time, her hobbies are hiking and bushwalking. Her favourite bushwalking spot is the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park. She is also involved in environmental volunteering, assisting with tree planting and manual weed management whenever she can. Charlotte is excited to be joining Avisure and looks forward to working with everyone on all the amazing projects whilst developing her knowledge in wildlife, project administration and aviation safety.
