Avisure specialises in wildlife strike and risk mitigation for the aviation industry. Our services include consulting, research, providing expert advice and airfield wildlife management to reduce the occurrence and impact of wildlife strike. We also consult on risk and emergency management to airports.

You will undertake active management of wildlife, monitor wildlife populations, assess wildlife strike risk, and liaise with and develop reports for clients.
Essential skills and attributes:
Tertiary degree in ecology, environmental management/wildlife or similar.
Demonstrated ability to use problem-solving techniques to solve project related issues.
Demonstrated project delivery and the capacity to manage projects within scheduled timeframes, budgets and health, safety and quality requirements.
Situational awareness in relation to identifying safety considerations involving aircraft movement, wildlife presence, and the activity of other vehicles, equipment and people utilising the airport
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills including the ability to manipulate data in complex spreadsheets.
Willing to travel to assist in interstate projects from time to time.
Highly regarded skills and attributes:
Excellent bird identification skills and demonstrated experience in bird and wildlife surveys.
Understanding of wildlife behaviour.
Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate.
Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC).
Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC) – requires a criminal history check.
Firearms license – Categories A and/or B and/or C.
Experience working in an aviation environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in wildlife management and/or vertebrate pest control.
