Aneeta Gauchan recently joined the Avisure team as a wildlife management technician based at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Aneeta completed her master’s degree in forestry from Nepal specialising in wildlife management and social forestry. She has also attended several graduate courses at the University of British Columbia, exposing her to Canadian forestry, natural resources management and indigenous knowledge systems. She is particularly interested in working in areas related to human-nature (including wildlife) interconnectedness and conflicts. Before joining Avisure, Aneeta was involved in projects such as, ‘Assessing wetland resources in Beeshazar Lake in Central Nepal’ and ‘Imparting awareness of the status of water and migratory birds in North- Western Nepal’. She also has considerable experience in project coordination and management.
During her free time, she enjoys reading, meditating, camping, hiking, birding and spending quality time with close friends and family. She is a proud mom of two beautiful kids and many exotic house plants.
Aneeta is looking forward to working with everyone at Avisure.
