Jeff Follett - Avisure Services General Manager

General Manager – Jeff Follett

I hope this newsletter finds each of you safe and healthy. I think everyone I catch up with these days appreciates the little things that make life seem a bit more ‘normal’ after some challenging times in the past 18 months.

I had the chance to catch up with old friends for a bit of an adventure in the Alaskan tundra. I won’t bore you with the details, but we got the true Alaskan experience with grizzlies and moose closer than comfortable, plenty of wind, rain, and even a bit of snow, not to mention some absolutely spectacular scenery.

So . . . what does this have to do with aviation risk management and AviNews ? Well, if you’ve ever had to plan for a multi-day trip to the wilderness, you know it involves quite a bit of risk management. What are we likely to encounter? How much food do we need? How will we stay warm? The list goes on. Lots of reviewing maps, studying our plans, and creating contingencies for when things inevitably go wrong.

I imagine all that planning and reviewing sounds familiar. It’s what your team should excel at, and what we at Avisure pride ourselves upon. We work with our clients every day to assess risk, develop plans, implement control measures, and review progress to adapt and make better decisions.

This edition of AviNews provides an overview of the years of service team members have put in, information on our investments in research and development, some nerdy bird stuff, and a little humble bragging about Ronel Jit. We’re proud of everything we achieve working with all of you and thank you for our continued collaboration.
